Exclusive membership club, interesting vibes...Wax Poetic played , rocked the club , everyone happy...Fred and Sabina came by ...and more friendly faces and many new as well...as well as booking agents, promoters etc.. all cool. now we're off to Istanbul....

NUBLU OPENS IN ISTANBUL THIS THURSDAY....

DA PARTY...

It was real fun Thurs night at Le Poison Rouge on Nublu's 10th anniversary party. We have had a few already and this one was a good one as well Everyone sounded great ! Sabina Sciubba , lead singer of the Brazilian Girls, presented beggining steps of her new solo thing....Wax Poetic rocked their new record, Clark Gayton , currently on tour with Bruce Springsteen , played a bluesy set with Saturday Night Live drummer Shawn Pelton and on accordion and vocals by Brian Mitchell. Hess is More played a great set with a band that keeps being expanded , super indie -jazz-alternative -madman Hess himself.  Dj's Alex from Tokyo, MKL, Modest P and Vladi kept the in-betweens happening. And Love Trio finished the evening with Jorge and Gui from Forro in the Dark as guests.. thanks all of you for coming !

Nice nights at Nublu....and next door Bikini's is opening....a Spanish ,Tapas, kinda joint....beer , wine and good food is what we hear...

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS IN ISTANBUL...

Our Nublu man Mauro Refosco , from the great band Forro in the Dark was in Istanbul with RHCP . Forro started on wed's at nublu 9 years ago and it's still going on every wednesday. Every time Mauro is in town he plays ofcourse. This wednesday he is back in town , so come on down...Mauro has now been touring with Red Hot Chili Peppers since a year or so . RHCP played Istanbul sat night and rocked....Ilhan Ersahin from Nublu  played on the song "did i let you know ", invited by the band  . FUN !

Afterwards , pre pre party for Nublu Istanbul...2 pics from the walls leading to the bathroom !! Ilhan and RHCP , Mauro and Su , Flea with girlfriend....cool !

Istanbul life is back after the yearly looong summer break, where everyone , almost, leaves town for the south. YES , Wake up call , .. another club opened up tonite. Friends and People hanging...it's true ...NUBLU is opening in Istanbul sept 20th..

Izzet , the actor of the Istanbul Session's Night Rider video , and cool man in general  is opening up a selective Burger spot. 5 burgers on the menu....1 veggie, rest is not. All promised to be even better than the cool interior !! Nevzat spinin at OTTO.
